Bi-Monthly Online Roundtables
In 2023, we held bi-monthly online roundtables where we discussed issues and topics related to groups, creating a transdisciplinary knowledge-sharing forum. Previous roundtable themes have included:
(1) May 2023:
What is the present status of the groups we research? Is it problematic to distinguish oneself as an ‘expert’ in contrast to the ‘others’ we study? How can we best oppose heirarchies (or what use might heirarchy have for leadership)? How do we define ‘groups’ anyway?
(2) July 2023:
What do we do with ‘bad’ results - be they non-significant or not the results project partners want to see? How can we learn from other disciplines how to navigate this tricky terrain? What might the future funding landscape hold for researchers to maintain flexibility and integrity in their research?
